Location: This is a hybrid role. Selected candidate must live in commutable driving distance to Scottsdale, AZ 85255.

P.F. Chang’s is hiring an Assistant General Counsel to lead key areas of legal support for our business operations. This critical role manages employment law, litigation, real estate transactions, licensing, and corporate governance for P.F. Chang’s and its affiliates.

What You’ll Do:

Employment Law & Litigation

• Serve as the lead advisor to the Human Resources team on all employment law matters.
• Manage employment-related litigation, including class actions, arbitrations, and high-risk legal matters.
• Oversee investigations, compliance, and corrective actions related to employment law.
• Provide guidance on ADA compliance for both digital and physical spaces.
• Lead the company’s compliance and ethics programs, including the Code of Ethics and policy systems.
• Manage non-employment litigation and high-risk legal threats with a focus on cost efficiency and risk mitigation.

Real Estate

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate leases, amendments, SNDAs, estoppels, and related agreements.
• Support the Development and Facilities teams with legal guidance on construction contracts and property transactions.
• Advise on real estate strategy and partner with the business to mitigate risk in transactions.

Licensing & Records

• Manage liquor and business license lifecycle across all U.S. locations.
• Oversee corporate governance, legal entity management, and records retention policies.
• Support the management of the company’s IP and trademark portfolio.
• Partner with IT to maintain legal hold and records retention protocols.

What You’ll Bring:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with at least one state bar
• 15+ years of legal experience , including expertise in employment law, litigation management, licensing, real estate transactions, and corporate governance.
• Proven leadership experience in an in-house legal role or at a top-tier law firm.
• Skilled in managing outside counsel and internal legal teams in a cost-effective manner.
• Ability to operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.
