We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive leadership team in Brooklyn, New York. The COO will oversee day-to-day operational functions across the healthcare system, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care, operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance. This role spans acute care, ambulatory care, and long-term care services and facilities.
The COO reports directly to the President/Chief Transformation Officer and collaborates closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, and other senior leaders to implement strategic initiatives, drive organizational performance, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Compensation:$400,000-$450,000
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily operations across all healthcare service lines, including acute, ambulatory, and long-term care
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that advance organizational goals
Ensure operational efficiency, quality of care, and patient safety throughout the organization
Drive financial performance and sustainability, including budgeting, resource allocation, and operational metrics
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Partner with clinical leadership to optimize workflows, staffing, and clinical outcomes
Oversee major projects, capital initiatives, and process improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, including 10 years in a senior executive role
Clinical background (MD, RN, etc.) preferred
Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (F.A.C.H.E.) preferred
Proven experience leading complex healthcare operations and managing multiple facilities or service lines
Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills
