**Job Title: Controller**
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage and improve our financial processes. In this role, you will oversee the accounting department, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic financial guidance to support decision-making and business growth.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals and provide strategic guidance for business planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate and lead annual audits, liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow and oversee treasury functions to optimize financial resources.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar role, with at least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strategic and data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
