Job Description

We are excited to welcome passionate and dedicated Early Intervention Special Instructor candidates for our school-based and community-based programs. We are looking for individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in the Philadelphia area and surrounding counties.

As an Early Intervention Special Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including preschool classrooms, community childcare centers, clinics, and private homes. You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that is committed to sharing knowledge and continuously learning new practices to best serve the needs of the children and families we work with.

Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in Early Intervention, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or Family Studies.
Valid teaching certification in Special Instruction, with proof of certification and a valid Pennsylvania certificate.
Completion of state-mandated competencies.
At least one year of experience working directly with preschool children (ages 3-5) or children with disabilities, and engaging with their families.

Responsibilities:
Provide early intervention services following professional standards and best practices.
Design and create a nurturing learning environment that fosters the development of key skills, including cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Collaborate with families and caregivers to incorporate these skills into daily routines.
Offer resources, guidance, and support to families with children with disabilities.
Provide corrective actions and additional support to enhance a child's ability to thrive in their educational environment.
Follow all federal, state, and local guidelines for early intervention services.
Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary.
Ensure services are provided in the least restrictive environment, according to each child's needs.
Plan, organize, and implement instructional strategies that optimize each child's learning potential.
Advocate for children by understanding their unique needs and ensuring they receive appropriate services and support.
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with county policies and educational guidelines, ensuring timely and thorough records.
