We have an outstanding career opportunity for anFAA Quality Inspectorto join a leading Company located inOro Valley, AZ. **US Citizenship is required.** 1st Shift Pay rate range: $19 - $23/hr The Quality Inspector 2 inspects a range of components, parts, and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions. Responsibilities : + Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. + Participates in gathering statistical data from products and processes. + Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. + Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, and harness assemblies. + Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items. + Identifies design, process, or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues. + Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies, and tooling. + Read technical drawings with multiple views. + Locate and utilize correct parts, assembly, and material specifications or drawings. + Use tolerances and dimensions to the required accuracy and precision. + Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulations. + Filing of both hard copy and electronic records. + Other responsibilities as assigned. + Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. + May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary. Basic Hiring Criteria : + High School Diploma or equivalent + Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field. + Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience (Aerospace and Electronics environments preferred). + Must be available for 1st shift + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Must be able to lift minimum of 25 lbs. + Must have a visual acuity of 20/25 in at least one eye, either correct or uncorrected Desired Qualifications : + Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision. + Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues. + Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment. + Must have intricate knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, M.O.s, wiring diagrams, and be able to add tolerances using decimals, etc. + Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches. + Proficient computer skills. + Read written/printed specifications and drawings.
