Job Description

SUMMARY

Field Safety Technician will work with job sites in their assigned region to ensure that employees follow important safety codes, jobsite safety culture and regulatory compliance. Field Safety Technicians typically work on a single job site or multiple sites in the geographical area, engaging with Supervisors, Project Managers and clients to develop relationships with trust and integrity.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Work with the Safety department management to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations throughout our jobsites.
  • Teaching and guiding our field operations employees in ways which to think about and work safely each and every day
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, and operations to identify potential safety hazards
  • Provide safety training to employees and management on a regular basis
  • Respond to and investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans
  • Monitor safety performance in the workplace and provide feedback to employees and management
  • Maintain safety records and documentation
  • Assist with developing, implementing and supporting safety incentive programs
  • Provide input and assistance in the development of safety budgets

Minimum Skills and Requirements

  • Associate degree in occupational safety or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a field safety role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Operate computer, iPad, phone hardware and safety software
  • Safely operate company provided or personal vehicle, following all licensing and driver laws, while maintaining proper insurance coverage on vehicle.
  • Ability to travel throughout region and overnight as required by projects
