Job Description

The right team is more than an advantage, it’s a game changer! Come work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Denver office located in Westminster, CO (halfway between Denver and Boulder).

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual with an interest in fire protection engineering to join our team as a  Fire Protection Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education in an accredited engineering program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time student in an engineering program (i.e. fire protection, mechanical, civil, architectural engineering, etc.) at a nationally recognized, accredited college
• Two years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate engineering degree
• Demonstrates knowledge of, and interest in, fire protection engineering
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Detail orientated and organized
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer break. Flexibility for school schedule/demands will be provided
• Reliable transportation is strongly preferred, as the role will involve commuting to our office as well as occasional attendance at off-site meetings and job walks

This position is not eligible for sponsorship. No paid interview travel or relocation expenses are offered for this position.

The expected pay rate for this position is $22 - $26 per hour.
