Job Overview:
NCDHHS ITD is seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer / Expert to lead the DCDEE Early Education Integration System project. This role is critical in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and user-focused Salesforce solutions that align with the organization's digital strategy. The Senior Salesforce Developer will bridge strategic business needs with robust solution architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver enterprise-grade, sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions and define technical strategies.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Tech Leads, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architecture and solutions.
Lead the design and implementation of complex API-based integrations connecting Salesforce with external systems.
Ensure solutions comply with data security, performance, and scalability standards (e.g., backup strategies, recovery plans).
Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout solution design and implementation.
Provide guidance on when to use standard Salesforce functionality vs. custom development.
Develop high-quality technical documentation, data models, and solution diagrams.
Lead code reviews, design sessions, release planning, and technical workshops.
Collaborate in Agile teams for backlog refinement, user story decomposition, and acceptance criteria definition.
Assist in Salesforce environment setup and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Copado.
Serve as a hands-on technical expert and provide cross-functional leadership for the Salesforce ecosystem.

Copado Certification
MuleSoft I and II Certifications
Experience (Minimum 7 years):
Architecting and developing complex Salesforce platform solutions.
Extensive expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Flows, SOSL, SOQL, and Salesforce Admin.
Strong experience in Salesforce configuration and development best practices.
Object-oriented design patterns and languages (Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, Ruby).
Data migration strategies and common ETL tools.
Mobile solutions architecture, with a good understanding of on-platform mobile considerations.
Salesforce Shield and Lightning experience.
Additional Experience (Minimum 5 years):
Salesforce DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
Accessibility laws and WCAG 2.1 compliance.
GitHub/BitBucket version control systems.
Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
