  • C&G Partners
  • New York, NY

Job Description

  • Are you a graphic designer looking to learn and grow?
  • Do you want to make a difference, helping clients who benefit humanity?
  • Do you want to make award-winning designs while you’re at it?
  • Yes to all? You should apply.

C&G Partners is a multi-specialty creative studio, dedicated to design for culture. We focus on design and user experience, ensuring our creations are elegant, engaging, seamlessly integrated, and efficient. We do this by creating carefully tailored designs that follow industry standards and best practices, ensuring our work is not just visually appealing, but also well-built and sustainable.

We have an immediate opening for a junior-level graphic designer for interdisciplinary projects, starting with exhibitions, and potentially then eventually moving to experiences, branding, and interactive. This position is ideal for a designer with 1-2 years of solid experience working in a collaborative environment. The designer is involved in a variety of projects, including concept development, generating options, creating presentations, defending design ideas visually and verbally, and producing final art. We are looking for a designer who is positive, passionate, and eager to share new ideas.

Our studio is unique: we undertake projects that involve multiple in-house design specialists simultaneously, from media designers to architects, graphic designers, writers, and more. Projects will always encompass more than one design discipline, and we welcome designers who are interested in working across fields.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with and following lead designers on projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including directly with clients
  • Work in Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Positive attitude and takes criticism well
  • Self-motivated and independent thinker with strong communication skills
  • Organized and able to follow up on long and short-term projects
  • Flexibility to work independently and be a team player when necessary
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Collaborate and coordinate work with the team, including other graphic designers, 3D designers, the content team, the media team, and outside consultants

Requirements

  • The candidate is required to be located in the immediate New York City area. Because a significant portion of our work involves hands-on tasks such as examining materials and collaborating closely with our team, we are specifically seeking candidates who are based locally to ensure seamless participation in these on-site activities. We are currently a hybrid workplace.
  • Excellent design skills
  • Strong capabilities in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and InDesign
  • A well-organized and detail-oriented, can-do attitude
  • Comfort working as part of a team
  • Articulate and poised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An interest in exhibit design, signage, wayfinding, branding, and info-graphics.

Details and How to Apply:

Salary range: $55,000.00–$75,000.00

The range above is a good-faith estimate based on the expectations outlined in the job description. We are, however, often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that turns out to be the case, the actual salary may differ from the estimates above.

Please provide a portfolio link, professional references, and samples of design documentation. Please send applications to jrdes@cgpartnersllc.com with “Junior-Level” in the subject line. Email replies only, please.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. C&G Partners is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran, or disability status.

Note: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
