JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lead Data Integration Engineer is responsible for setting the vision and direction for integration technologies, leading large-scale integration initiatives, and ensuring that the organization's integration strategies align with business objectives. The lead engineer provides technical leadership, mentors the engineering team, and collaborates with executive management on strategic planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and drive the overall integration architecture and technology roadmap.
Align integration strategies with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Lead the design and implementation of mission-critical integration solutions.
Oversee complex integration projects, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
Lead and mentor the data integration engineering team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner with business leaders, IT executives, and other stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
Coordinate with vendors, partners, and external teams on integration efforts.
Establish and enforce integration standards, policies, and best practices.
Ensure all integration activities comply with legal, regulatory, and security requirements.
Manage budgets for integration projects and initiatives.
Optimize resource allocation and utilization across projects.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
Introduce new tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance integration capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Supervisor and/or Financial Responsibilities:
Oversee the integration budget and make strategic decisions on investments.
Ensure cost-effective use of resources and technologies.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
A Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable or a related Azure certification.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data integration and interface engineering.
Extensive experience in leadership roles and managing large teams.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
Mastery of integration technologies, particularly within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, SOA, and microservices.
Expertise in API management, data governance, and security.
Exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities.
Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with executive leadership.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
Recognized certifications in integration architecture or enterprise architecture.
Proven track record of successful integration project delivery.
