Job Description

Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Title Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate title processing and maintaining compliance with state law. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to conduct thorough research with neighboring states. Responsibilities:

• Facilitate vehicle registration process in the state where they will be titled.
• Prepare tax and title documents with precision.
• Submit all legal transfer paperwork to the Department of Motor Vehicles promptly.
• Ensure accurate fund collection and lienholder payments are made before processing title applications.
• Thoroughly review applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Handle payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins efficiently.
• Process dealer trades and issue Certificates of Origin accurately.
• Maintain a reliable system for verifying out-of-state titles.
• Keep track of all outstanding title work, reporting any missing or problematic titles to management and providing the comptroller with a comprehensive list of outstanding titles monthly.

Job Requirements:

• Automotive dealership experience required; vehicle title and registration experience preferred.
• Experience working with CDK preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential for this position.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
