Job Title: Mail Clerk

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week

Duration: Jan 19, 2026 – Jun 12, 2026

Job Summary

Seeking detail-oriented and dependable Mail Clerks to support critical document and payment processing operations. This role plays a vital part in serving Arizona taxpayers by ensuring accurate and timely handling of incoming mail, tax documents, and payments in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Open, sort, and prepare incoming mail, including tax documents and payments
  • Accurately group and organize documents for downstream processing
  • Meet or exceed daily production and quality standards
  • Operate office equipment and basic computer systems
  • Follow established rules, procedures, and security guidelines
  • Maintain accuracy while handling high-volume workloads

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-based environment with deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Flexible, adaptable, punctual, and reliable
  • Basic computer skills (PC usage)
  • Ability to understand and apply procedures and regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift up to 35 lbs
  • Push/pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and move for extended periods

Additional Requirements

  • Local candidates only (must be in Phoenix, AZ at time of submission)
  • Resume must clearly state current location
  • Must be available for in-person interviews within 1 week of posting close
  • Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer
  • Security clearance/background requirements apply
  • Possible mandatory overtime , including select Saturdays (April–June)

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
