Job Overview:
Assists physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required,
American Heart Association CPR card required,
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; excellent communication and organizational skills also required,
Preferred:
Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus,
Scheduling Requirements:
This is a full time, day position, 40hours/week,
Essential Functions:
Assisting physical therapist or occupational therapist with patient care such as:
assisting with patient transfers and mobility,
pt transport,
maintaining treatment area by maintaining supply and linen inventory,
changing sheets and pillow cases;
general housekeeping,
retrieving and cleaning equipment including medical equipment;
assist in clerical needs of department such as answering phones and taking messages;
communication with nursing or other healthcare providers;
direct communication with office staff and Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy staff
