JOB SUMMARY


KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a reputable and growing organization near Portsmouth, NH in their search to hire a Procurement Manager . This high-impact position will oversee purchasing and accounts payable operations across multiple locations while helping drive cost savings, vendor performance, and process efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in procurement and payables, with a passion for improving systems, negotiating favorable terms, and partnering cross-functionally to support business operations.

Responsibilities for the Procurement Manager:

  • Lead centralized purchasing and AP activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support organizational needs and cost management goals
  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and service-level expectations
  • Monitor inventory needs and collaborate with operations teams on timely procurement and usage trends
  • Support month-end close activities, reporting, and internal controls related to AP and purchasing functions
  • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements, systems enhancements, and cost savings
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams to align procurement efforts with company objectives
  • Mentor and oversee team members involved in purchasing and payables (if applicable)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience managing procurement and/or AP functions in a multi-site or complex environment
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Dynamics GP, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with process improvement or procurement system implementations is a plus
