Registered Nurse (RN) – Life Care Planner / Vocational Rehabilitation
$75,000–$135,000+ | Full-Time | Hybrid (New Orleans area)
Non-Clinical | Medical–Legal | Research & Writing Focus
We are seeking a Registered Nurse or rehabilitation professional with prior experience in either vocational rehabilitation OR Life Care Planning to join a specialized medico-legal practice. This role is designed for candidates who bring depth in one discipline and are interested in developing the other.
Candidates without experience in both vocational rehabilitation and Life Care Planning will not be considered.
Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities
- Review and analyze complex medical records
- Identify long-term medical, rehabilitation, and equipment needs
- Conduct cost research and provider outreach
- Support Life Care Plan development and documentation
- Draft medical summaries, timelines, and evidence-based recommendations
- Prepare supporting materials for attorneys and expert witnesses
Registered Nurse (RN) Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
- Vocational rehabilitation or disability case management
- Workers’ compensation or rehab nursing
- Legal nurse consulting
- Life Care Planning or catastrophic case management
- Strong medical record review, documentation, and writing skills
- Comfortable in a non-clinical, analytical role
Not a Fit If You
- Are seeking bedside or direct patient care
- Do not enjoy writing or detailed documentation
- Have no experience reviewing medical records
Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000–$135,000+ depending on experience

- First 3 weeks of training onsite
