Senior Planner – Aerospace Procurement

Location: Busek Co., Inc.

As a Senior Planner at Busek, you will manage the procurement of custom and commercial off-the-shelf parts for spacecraft subsystems. Your responsibilities will include negotiating pricing, executing procurement processes, preparing RFPs, and developing operational plans. You’ll work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and quality deliveries, and maintain procurement records, ensuring compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100D).

Key Responsibilities:

• Place orders with vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery

• Prepare and verify purchase orders, and manage supplier relationships

• Track and monitor purchase orders, communicating issues to relevant departments

• Maintain procurement records for cost, delivery, and product quality

• Plan for supply chain demand with current inventory and pipeline forecast

• Analyze inventory levels to create delivery schedules for goods that align with operations team’s build schedule

• Maintain inventory to meet demands without overstocking

• Anticipate factors that may influence demand

• Manage and oversee subcontract procurement, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements

• Work closely with engineering and program management to develop subcontractor statements of work and manage deliverables

Desired Skills:

• Experience in procurement or related field

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Experience with purchase order software platforms and IT troubleshooting

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret documents

• Experience working with subcontracts, including negotiating terms and managing subcontractor performance
