Job Description

Job Summary: The Title Clerk at Gay Buick GMC in Dickinson, Texas will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the dealership's title and registration documents. This individual will work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure timely and efficient processing of all vehicle titles. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Compensation & Benefits: This position is a Full-Time hourly role within the Auto industry. The compensation and benefits package will be competitive and based on experience. Responsibilities:

• Process all vehicle titles for new and used vehicles in a timely and accurate manner
• Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for new vehicle registrations and transfers
• Obtain and verify all required documents for vehicle titles and registrations
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to vehicle titles and registrations
• Communicate with sales and finance managers regarding any discrepancies or missing information on vehicle titles
• Work closely with external agencies, such as the DMV and lenders, to ensure proper documentation and timely processing of vehicle titles
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all title and registration documents
• Assist with other accounting and finance duties, as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in automotive title processing preferred
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to vehicle titles and registrations
• Experience working with multiple DMV systems and lenders
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
