Job Title: Assistant Nurse Manager – Behavioral & Psychiatric Health (RN)
Location: Belle Mead, NJ 08502
Schedule: 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Rotation: Week 1 – Sun, Wed, Thurs | Week 2 – Mon, Fri, Sat
EOW & 2–4 Holidays Required

Role Overview:

The  Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)is a skilled RN leader who supports nursing operations, quality outcomes, and staff development within a behavioral health setting. The ANM collaborates with the Nurse Manager to oversee clinical functions, staffing, staff mentorship, and compliance while ensuring excellence in patient care and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support front-line clinical staff
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and daily throughput
• Conduct performance evaluations and corrective actions
• Ensure quality care and patient safety initiatives
• Lead or participate in improvement projects and audits
• Assist with budgeting, compliance, and patient experience efforts
• Mentor new hires and contribute to employee engagement
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary rounds and staff education
• Participate in recruitment, retention, and shared governance

Requirements:

Education:

• Required: BSN
• Preferred: MSN

Experience:

• Required: 3+ years recent nursing experience
• Preferred: Supervisor or Charge RN background

License & Certifications:

• Active NJ or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS
• National Certification (per Magnet standards) within 2 years of hire
