Job Description

We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Early Intervention Special Instructor candidates for school-based and community-based programs in Philadelphia and surrounding counties, focusing on children aged 3-5. Qualifications:

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in early intervention, early childhood education, special education, child development, or family studies.
Certification as a Special Instructor (SI), including a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate.
Completion of competencies as mandated by state regulations.
At least one year of experience working directly with preschool-aged children (3-5) or children with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide early intervention services by professional standards and state guidelines.
Create a learning environment and activities that promote the development of cognitive, social, and motor skills in children, collaborating with families to integrate educational opportunities into daily routines.
Offer resources and support to families of children with disabilities to enhance their learning experiences.
Work closely with families to provide corrective actions or strategies to improve the child's ability to benefit from their educational environment.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings as needed to ensure the child's needs are met.
Ensure that all students receive services in their least restrictive environment.
Plan and organize instructional activities to maximize the child's learning potential.
Implement curricula that align with the goals outlined in the IEP.
Advocate for the child's special needs in collaboration with other professionals.
Attend meetings and contribute to team discussions and decisions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with all federal, state, and county educational guidelines.

Salary: $ 65.00 Per Hour
