A16 La Pala – Supervisor Position

Pay: $22 – $28 per hour (experience dependent)

Location: Ferry Building, San Francisco

La Pala is excited to bring our evolving Italian concept to life within the iconic Ferry Building — blending casual elegance with deep culinary roots and a growing commitment to regional wine culture. We are seeking a Supervisor with a strong sense of customer service, leadership, and a passion for creative development as we build a unique experience centered around our wine-forward menu and Italian-style provisions.

The Supervisor will oversee both front and back-of-house operations while serving as a leader in hospitality, quality control, and team development. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to a growing wine and food program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage FOH and BOH operations with clarity and consistency
• Provide exceptional customer service; be a visible, gracious host in the space
• Support and evolve our developing wine culture with thoughtful engagement and team training
• Collaborate on menu and concept development, bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table
• Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor team members
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization
• Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Coordinate private events, catering, and special offerings
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, payroll, tip distribution, and daily reports
• Work closely with ownership and leadership to align with La Pala’s vision and growth
