Do you love what you do? - Mindset by Pinky

Do you love what you do?

What do you do?

The 4 words that either haunt you or you feel excited to answer with great enthusiasm and joy.

You know those people right? They light up when they talk about what they do, they love what they do.

Are you one of them?

It’s one of the questions that we get asked all the time, don’t we? What do you do?

Especially if it’s at a networking event or at social gatherings or even on social media. As humans we want people to think that it’s impressive because we worry about what people think. Judgement. Judging yourself means you will continue to judge others. When you find your true purpose and your passion, the work that you do makes you feel happy and gives you internal motivation, and that can free yourself from the habit of judgement.

70% of us are unsatisfied and unhappy at work, a study by inc.com in 2018. Gallup says 85% hated their jobs in 2017. I very much doubt the figures have changed this year.

We spend over one third of our days at work. Your career or your business defines you, for example if you aren’t happy at work, other areas of your life are affected.

Do you feel happy at work or in your business?

Are you doing something in your life that makes your heart sing? And it makes you jump out of bed in the mornings?

How often do you hear about people phoning in sick, depressed, divorced, turning to alcohol or drugs because they aren’t happy with their careers?

Ask anyone who has a deep feeling of joy and connection with their work that makes them happy and they will say what I do.

“Never be afraid to fail, because each failure is like a tool for my toolbox and  it makes it a learning experience for the next time”

“Be confident in your own abilities and believe in yourself, if you don’t no one else will”

“Accept that you will have good and bad days and nothing will be perfect even when you love what you do.”

And one more thing…

“Love what you do and you will never work a day in your life”

Hope the Easter bunny brings you lots of chocolates 🙂 xx
